What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a natural method of healthcare based on the fact that many health disorders are caused by lack of nerve supply in the body. When nerve flow is interrupted, the body becomes unable to maintain itself in an optimal state of health. The most common cause of interrupted nerve flow is a serious yet common condition found in the spine known as Vertebral Subluxation.

What is a Subluxation?A subluxation is a misalignment of one or more of the bones of the spine known as vertebrae. The misalignment causes irritation to the spinal cord and spinal nerves as they exit the spine through small openings between the vertebrae. When the nerves become irritated, it interrupts the free flow of nerve impulses traveling from the brain to the body and back. This causes malfunction to occur in the body parts no longer receiving proper nerve supply. The vast majority of people will develop subluxations at some point in their life. Subluxations are brought on in numerous ways: poor posture, poor sleeping habits, occupational stress, emotional stress, auto &work injuries, slips and falls, strenuous exercise, sports impacts, even the birth process which is why all children should be checked for subluxations. Chiropractors locate and correct these subluxations with spinal adjustments improving the health of the spine and the function of the nerve system.
